The function of the pumping unit

The pumping unit is one of the important equipment in oil extraction. Its main function is to lift the crude oil at the bottom of the well to the ground through the sucker rod and Pumpjack.

The basic working principle of the pumping unit is that the motor drives the gearbox to run. After the gearbox is decelerated, the rotating motion of the gearbox is transformed into up and down reciprocating motion through the crank connecting rod mechanism on the pumping unit. Then, the horsehead and hair braid drive the sucker rod and Pumpjack to continuously up and down reciprocating motion, pumping the crude oil at the bottom of the well to the ground continuously.

There are many types of pumping units, including beam pumping units, chain pumping units, and so on. But the most common and practical is the beam pumping unit. This type of pumping unit has the advantages of easy maintenance, strong adaptability, and less damage, and is widely used in oil extraction.
