There are two main types of energy-saving technologies for pumping units: one is to develop different types of energy-saving motors for pumping units, such as ultra-high slip motors, three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors, high starting torque dual stator structure motors, and electromagnetic speed regulating motors. However, due to excessive capital investment, replacing ordinary asynchronous motors with energy-saving motors in many oil fields is not yet fully promoted. The second is to use energy-saving distribution boxes. By changing the connection method of the stator winding, the motor voltage can be changed, but the motor can only obtain a fixed voltage, and the energy-saving effect is not ideal.
The energy-saving technology of the pumping unit adopts variable frequency speed control, which can change the long-term inefficient working state of the pumping unit, match its working mode with the actual load of the oil well, ensure that the oil is pumped every time, reduce inefficient or even ineffective extraction, thereby reducing electricity expenses, reducing maintenance costs, and improving operational efficiency. The effect is as follows:
1. The frequency converter has a soft start function. When starting, the current is small, the impact on the power grid is small, and the energy consumption during starting is greatly reduced. Avoiding the equivalent of 3-7 times the rated current during startup and avoiding unnecessary electrical energy loss. At the same time, it reduces the impact on large machinery such as electric motors, gearboxes, and pumping units, and extends the service life of related equipment. In operation, the power factor of the motor can be increased from 0.2~0.5 to 0.9, reducing the burden on the power grid and transformers, reducing line losses, and significantly reducing reactive power losses.
2. The introduction of frequency converter control can achieve automatic identification of equipment up and down strokes, thereby controlling the motor operating frequency of the oil pumping unit up and down strokes to be adjustable, in order to change the operating speed of the pumping unit up and down strokes. Solved the shutdown caused by replacing the belt pulley speed control, thereby improving production efficiency. Simultaneously achieving the minimum electricity consumption while meeting pump efficiency.
3. Due to the potential load nature when the pumping unit goes down, the frequency converter with energy consumption braking function can adapt to its working conditions. It brings great convenience for changing the optimal working state of the pumping unit speed adjustment. Reduce leakage and improve pump efficiency.
